Ten different types of marketing are the following:
- Outbound Marketing
Traditional marketing is known as “Outbound Marketing,” is the most common type of marketing for many businesses in the past. It includes techniques such as emailing, calling, and television advertisements. This type of marketing delivers less return on investment because of the customer’s lack of context to see, hear, or even experience. Furthermore, outbound marketing doesn’t expect people to look for the service offered or ask for the message sent to them, resulting in taking action or converting into a lead or customer. This strategy worked for numerous companies and still viable with other marketing strategies.
- Inbound Marketing
This type of marketing is a new technique that showed up to light mostly by HubSpot. It is based on attracting business by being relevant to the audience rather than being interruptive. The journey of the buyer is a crucial principle of inbound marketing, along with its methodology. The journey comprises three critical steps: Awareness, Consideration, and Decision. They represent the different stages that customers lead and how close they are to buying a product or service. Awareness is where the majority of people coming to your site will be. This is where the buyer has identified they have a problem with which they struggle to have a solution. The next stage, consideration, is when the buyer is searching for different solutions to solve their problem. Lastly, the decision stage is when buyers have seen their options and are ready to buy the product or the service.
