This type of marketing delivers less return on investment because of the customer’s lack of context to see, hear, or even experience. Furthermore, outbound marketing doesn’t expect people to look for the service offered or ask for the message sent to them, resulting in taking action or converting into a lead or customer. This strategy worked for numerous companies and still viable with other marketing strategies. 

  1. Inbound Marketing

This type of marketing is a new technique that showed up to light mostly by HubSpot. It is based on attracting business by being relevant to the audience rather than being interruptive. The journey of the buyer is a crucial principle of inbound marketing, along with its methodology. The journey comprises three critical steps: Awareness, Consideration, and Decision. They represent the different stages that customers lead and how close they are to buying a product or service. Awareness is where the majority of people coming to your site will be. This is where the buyer has identified they have a problem with which they struggle to have a solution. The next stage, consideration, is when the buyer is searching for different solutions to solve their problem. Lastly, the decision stage is when buyers have seen their options and are ready to buy the product or the service. 

  1. Online Marketing

This marketing type refers to the numerous kinds of marketing where businesses use this strategy to promote themselves on the web. It is also known as digital marketing, including website techniques like search engine marketing, blogging, social media marketing, and more. Online marketing is becoming more popular and an essential part of several businesses in today’s world. 

  1. Offline Marketing

In contrast with online marketing, offline marketing is the most traditional type of marketing. Just like its name implies, this type of marketing is related to everything that is not on the web. It is the first kind of marketing used to sell services and products by using brochures, flyers, posters on the streets, radio, and television: mail or even word of mouth. Offline marketing doesn’t reach an audience as online marketing does, but this strategy is still an option depending on the audience that the business wants to achieve. The goal it is trying to accomplish.

This is the base part of inbound marketing; it includes webinars, eBooks, podcasts, blogging, social media posts, and any other type of content created and published on the internet. Businesses are crowding on content marketing because they are all competing on the top-ranking content and which companies are attracting more traffic.

This is another part of inbound marketing, where the strategy is mostly focused on the automation of email campaigns to potential clients. This marketing kind has several objectives, like sending out the latest blog post, getting clients to subscribe to the business’s website, and becoming a continuous notification in the customers’ inbox. It is also possible to provide special offers, information that can be educative and useful for the leads, like confirmation of purchases or upcoming sales. This helps the business in supporting their leads through their selling journey. There are several benefits of using email marketing, but it is essential to consider that the email will not go to the clients’ deleted emails or be flagged as spam.

  1. Network Marketing

This is a business model that works by depending on person to person sales through independent representations; it is usually applied by working from home. This kind of marketing was used the most during the global pandemic in several parts of the globe. It merely requires building networks of business people that can help assist the leading generation and sales.

  1. SEO Marketing 

This kind of marketing is referred to as SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and paid search advertisements. It is commonly used with paid advertising pr pay per click ads. It allows companies to have a chance to attract impressions and traffic to websites for keyword searches to gain ranking on the internet. Therefore, the higher the search results’ appearances, the harder it is to rank keywords and phrases, making the cost per click higher. 

  1. Social Media Marketing 

Social Media is a vast platform that keeps evolving daily. Applications like Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram are big success stories of social media marketing. It is a new kind of marketing in comparison to other types of marketing. This kind of strategy should be available for all businesses and be active if they aren’t already. It is possible to advertising campaigns through social media like promoting tweets on Twitter or posts on Instagram or boosting offers on Facebook. This makes it possible to have thousands of people have eyes on the product or service. 

  1. Event Marketing

This is a practice between businesses that host events to generate leads. This strategy mostly attracts business people who use inbound marketing; this type of marketing can be made through conferences or webinars having the same target in mind, gathering insight from other businesses. Carrying the business name behind each event will boost the audience to the promoted service, portraying the leaders in the industry.
